The medical industry in general have a large number of statutory requirements relating to the storage, preservation and distribution of patient records. Many patient records have to be kept for the lifetime of the patient and longer. This requires a storage medium capable of safely securing information for up to 100 years. We provide a number of document and records management services and equipment to allow for that same information to be stored and distributed in a timely fashion between GPs, doctors, wards, intensive care units and operating theatres.
Equipment and facilities
We can scan any size of x-rays from 14″ x 17″ down to 44mm. X-Ray’s can be captured using a photographic procedure or using specialist X-Ray scanning equipment.
All x-ray scanning material are treated as confidential information. Our outsourced scanning centre based in the Midlands has been specifically designed for the scanning and processing of documents and materials. All digitisation and storage takes place in a humidity and temperature controlled facility with state of the art scanning technology. Controlled access to all areas of document storage, handling and preparation ensures security and confidentiality.
Outsourced or On-site?
Our digitisation centre provides a hassle-free option for outsourced scanning and capture projects but we also know that for certain projects onsite scanning is more appropriate, for example due to reasons of confidentiality, security or nature of the documentation. Genus provides the option of an on-site service team for these requirements.
